RED DEER, Alberta – With the 45th Canadian Finals Rodeo heading to Red Deer in less than two weeks, it’s time to start planning!

Here are the Top 5 things to do in Red Deer during CFR, presented by Ram.

  1. The Tradeshow

Open daily from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm, and Sunday from 10am to 1pm, the CFR tradeshow takes place in both the Prairie and Stockmen’s Pavilions. Over 70,000 square feet of floor space has the capacity for over 2,500 people and hundreds of booths. The best in western fashion and more will be on display all week from Canada’s top vendors. Make sure to click on the highlighted title for a full list of the full tradeshow vendor list.

  1. The Nightly Cabaret

Entertainers such as Lindsay Ell, Emerson Drive, Captain Tractor, Jake Matthews, the Chris Buck Band, Meghan Patrick and Nice Horse perform nightly on the TD Stage, presented by Real Country 95.5. Opening daily at 4pm, make sure to get your spot early for live bands both before and after each rodeo performance. Watch the rodeo’s live stream here during the performances if you didn’t get a seat inside the ENMAX Centrium. Northlands had a lounge downstairs but it wasn’t a party like this! Live entertainment begins again starting at 9pm after the rodeo and ends each morning at 2am. This is sure to be a hotspot for the entire week.

New this year, the go-round buckle presentations will be separate from the Rodeo Performances, taking place in the Westerner Park’s Marquis Room in the Harvest Centre immediately following the rodeo. Doors open at 9pm, closing at midnight including a full concession and bar. Be in the same room as the top rodeo talent in the nation as an added feature and more exciting entertainment.

  1. Daily Pancake Breakfasts

With the size of the City of Red Deer, everyone is going to know that the CFR is in town. After you’re done at the Cabaret, make sure to set your alarm for at least 9:30am to make the Daily Pancake Breakfast in the Parkland Pavilion. Starting at 8am and ending at 10am daily in time for the tradeshow to open up, your meal is free with a suggested donation to the charity of the day.
